The third round of the 2023 Mineiro Championship will be played next weekend, but only Tombense will take the field. The team will receive Caldense, at the Soares de Azevedo stadium, on Saturday, February 4, at 7 pm (Brasília time). Atlético would have the duel against Ipatingabut it was postponed and still needs to define the new date.
The game
Atlético-MG dominated the first stage at the Soares de Azevedo stadium, without being bothered by Tombense. In the team’s main move in the stage, at 10 minutes, Paulinho received a great cross and headed for the great defense of goalkeeper Felipe Garcia. On the rebound, Hulk tried to surprise, but the defense was attentive.
The Rooster needed just five minutes of the second half to open the scoring. After a beautiful cross by Hulk, the number 10, free, headed to balance the net. It was his first goal with the alvinegro’s shirt: 0 to 1.
