All the funds received by the Russian businessman will be transferred to those who suffered from the aggression of the Kremlin troops.
Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich will give Ukraine 2.3 billion pounds sterling, which he received from the sale of the Chelsea football club. This was reported by The Telegraph.
Remember that although Abramovich formally received the money from the financial transaction, in reality the moneybags had no right to dispose of them without the permission of the British authorities. And the full amount is just blocked in the accounts.
Therefore, the oligarch promised to transfer this money to a fund created in favor of the victims of the aggression of the Kremlin troops. However, problems arise here, because in the European Union the entrepreneur is also under sanctions, and therefore cannot transfer this money to a charitable foundation.
And finally, all obstacles are removed. The funds will go to a fund chaired by former UNICEF UK Executive Director Mike Penrose.
According to the latter, the money will go to humanitarian aid, including medical, trauma, surgical equipment and meeting the needs of the war-affected population near the front line (providing food, nutrition, basic services, education and medical support).
Remember that in May last year, Abramovich sold Chelsea for 4.25 billion pounds to a consortium led by American investor Todd Boely.
