Our country has maintained a quota of five clubs in European competition, two of which are in the Champions League
The return matches of the playoff round of the Europa League and the Conference League brought Ukraine 0.4 points in the UEFA rating. Dnipro-1 earned 0.2 points, which in a nominally home match played a draw with AEK and flew out of European competitions (one point earned by Dnipro for a draw is divided by five clubs that started from Ukraine in European competitions). Another 0.2 points was brought to Ukraine by Shakhtar, who advanced to the 1/8 finals of the Europa League and received one bonus point.
These results allowed our country to return to the TOP-15 of the UEFA rankings. Our country finishes the European Cup week in 14th place, which allows us to maintain a quota of five teams in European competition, two of which are in the Champions League. Moreover, Ukraine will not be eliminated from the top 15: the Czech Republic and Norway, the main persecutors of our country, have lost their representatives in European competitions.
In total, Ukraine has 5.5 points this season. Ukraine received 0.8 points for getting Shakhtar into the group stage of the Champions League (4 bonus points divided by all the same five clubs), 0.2 points for Dnipro’s exit from the Conference League group, the same amount for the Pitmen’s getting into the 1/8 finals League of Europe. Shakhtar brought Ukraine 1.4 points – wins against Leipzig and Rennes, two draws with Celtic, a world match with Real Madrid. Dynamo has 4.5 points or 0.9 points in 12 games played (three wins and two draws). Dnipro earned 8 points or 1.6 points for Ukraine – three wins and two draws. Zarya and Vorskla brought 0.2 points each.
In the next European mid-week, Ukraine can rise to 13th place, overtaking Switzerland, which also has one representative in Europe.
