The joint venture will be based in Munich
Bavaria creates with FC Los Angeles a joint venture for the search and development of young football players.
The project is called “Red & Gold Football”, both clubs have equal shares in the joint venture. The company will be based in Munich.
“We see this partnership as an opportunity to strengthen Bayern in sports competition with the best clubs in Europe and the Bundesliga. The fact that the 2026 World Cup will largely take place in the US, where we already have an office in New York, makes LA FC even more attractive. I expect growth in the quality and quantity of young talent in the MLS,” said Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn.
Los Angeles FC became the MLS champion in 2022. In the new season, the Californian team started with two victories.
Bayern lead the Bundesliga, two points ahead of Borussia D. In the next match, Bayer will play with Bayer on March 19.
