The Pitmen got the biggest amount among the Ukrainian clubs.
Donetsk Shakhtar ended the 2022/23 European Cup season, losing in the 1/8 finals of the Europa League to Netherlands Feyenoord.
Igor Jovićević’s team went into the Europa League, leaving third place in the Champions League group. The Pitmen managed one victory against Leipzig, and also drew three times – with Real Madrid and twice with Celtic. In the Europa League playoffs, Shakhtar beat Rennes, but were subsequently eliminated from the tournament.

At the end of the 2022/23 European Cup season, the Pitmen earned 43.6 million euros, which is 2/3 of the total income of Ukrainian clubs of 63.4 million euros.
