Carragher: Conte wants to be sacked during the international break. Spurs must end his torment

Tottenham lost a victory with Southampton, and the Italian lashed out at the players

Former Liverpool defender and now pundit Jamie Carragher suggested that Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte goes to escalate to step down already during the international pause in the Premier League in March.

“Conte wants to be sacked already during this international break. Spurs should just end his torment. And do it tonight.”

“His thesis that the Spurs won’t win for a long time is correct, but that’s not the way to talk about your club. Especially when you get crazy money. Progress at Arsenal after last season’s setbacks destroys many of his arguments.”

After losing a 3-3 victory over Southampton on matchday 28 of the Premier League, Conte said: “We are not a team. I see 11 players playing for themselves.”

Tottenham remained in fourth place in the Premier League. In the next round, Conte’s team will play Vitaliy Mikolenko’s Everton on the road on April 3.
