Argentina striker Lionel Messi scored 100th goal for the national team.

Captain Albiceleste scored a hat-trick in the control match against Curacao (7:0). The first of Messi’s goals became a jubilee for him.

The Argentine became the third player in history to break the 100-goal mark for his country. Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo scored 122 goals, while former Iranian striker Ali Daei scored 109 goals.

The Argentine has updated a number of achievements over the past month. At the end of February, Messi reached 700 goals at club level, surpassed 1,000 goals and assists in club matches, and also surpassed 800 career goals.
