The first international transfer in the history of the Zhytomyr club
Polissya signed the defender of the Gambian youth team Moses Jarju.
This is the first international transfer in the history of the club. Centrback will join Polesie from the start of the 2023/24 season.
The player is the main center back of the country’s youth team and, together with the team, won silver medals in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations this year.
Prior to moving to Polissya, Moses played for the Fortuna (Farato) football club, which currently ranks ninth in the Gambian championship.
In February, Polesie took second place at the Winter Cup-2023. The Zhytomyr club lost to Vorskla in the final match on penalties.
Polesie won Group A in the autumn part of the 2022/23 season in the First League and will compete for promotion. In the first match after the winter break, Zhytomyr will host Metallurg on April 9.
