The first defeat of Munich under the leadership of Tuchel
Bavaria lost at home Freiburg in the 1/4 final match German Cup – 1:2.
In the middle of the first half, the teams exchanged goals for Dayot Upamecano and Nicholas Hoefler. The fate of the meeting was decided in stoppage time.
On 90+5 minutes, Lukas Heler converted a penalty and gave Freiburg the win. Note that this is the first defeat of Bayern under the leadership of Thomas Tuchel.
Freiburg became the second semi-finalist of the German Cup. Earlier, Eintracht went to the next stage of the tournament, beating Union (2: 0).
Two more participants in the 1/2 finals of the German Cup will be determined on April 5 in the matches Nuremberg – Stuttgart and RB Leipzig – Borussia D.
Bayern lead the Bundesliga. Freiburg is fourth in the standings.
