A very important initiative of the legendary football player
Legendary Ukrainian football player, winner of the Golden Ball-2004 and former coach of the Ukrainian national team Andrey Shevchenko together with 1+1 media launched project “Sports Front”designed to draw the attention of the international sports community to the war in Ukraine.
The purpose of the project is to block Russian national teams and teams, to boycott Russian athletes who spoke in favor of the war in Ukraine or did not voice their position. The campaign is also designed to support Ukrainian sports.
In May, Shevchenko became the first ambassador of the UNITED24 presidential initiative, which is designed to help Ukraine fight the Russian invasion. He also takes part in charity matches and projects to raise funds to help his native country.
