The forward continues recovery after surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee
Sao Paulo announced the signing of a forward Alexandre Pato. The 33-year-old striker signed a contract with the Brazilian club until the end of 2023.
Pato is currently recovering from surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee. The forward was injured in September 2022.
Pato will play for Sao Paulo for the third time in his career. He previously played for the Brazilian club between 2014-15 and 2019-20. In total, Alexandre scored 47 goals in 136 matches for Sao Paulo.
Pato’s previous club was Orlando City, which he left at the end of 2022. The Brazilian striker is also known for playing for Milan, Chelsea, Internacional, Corinthians, Villarreal and Tianjin.
Sao Paulo is eighth in the Brazilian championship with 12 points after 7 rounds.
