Luka helped Croatia reach the Nations League final
Croatia captain Luka Modric commented on reaching the final League of Nations. The 37-year-old midfielder was named man of the match against the Netherlands (4:2).
“We played a brilliant match, as we wanted. Maybe not in the first 20 minutes, but then we got better and better. After Kramaric scored, we turned on the maximum speed and played very well. It’s a pity that we conceded a goal in the last minute, but then we showed our character again in extra time,” Modric said.
“Winning the final would be an amazing achievement, but right now it’s important to have a good rest, prepare and watch the second semi-final to see who’s waiting for us in the final. To win the first trophy in the history of the national team will be a dream come true.”
In the second semi-final match of the League of Nations, the national teams of Spain and Italy will play. The meeting will take place on June 15 at 21:45 Kyiv time. The match for third place and the final will take place on June 18.
