Arsenal officially announced the transfer of midfielder Declan Rice. The midfielder will play in the team of Mikel Arteta under the 41st number.
The details of the deal were not disclosed. It was previously reported that the Gunners would pay West Ham £100m for the midfielder, plus another £5m in bonuses. Thus, Rice will become the most expensive transfer in the history of Arsenal and the most expensive English player in history.
Rice made 50 appearances for West Ham in all competitions last season, scoring five goals and providing four assists. Together with the team, Declan became the winner of the Conference League.
Arsenal were English vice-champions last season. The team of Ukrainian Oleksandr Zinchenko will host Nottingham Forest on August 12 in the first round of the new Premier League draw.
