Chernomorets coach – about the behavior of Obolon representatives
Head coach Chernomorets Roman Grigorchuk commented on the team’s victory over Obolon (2:0) in the 3rd round of the championship of Ukraine.
“Today we won and I don’t even want to say anything more. You saw the price of our victory – we lost two players in front of Dynamo. If you lose players when you have 20, it’s normal, you can live. And when 14 is a completely different picture. And two or three of them are not yet ready. But we will proceed from what we have and will find ways,” Grigorchuk said.
“I don’t want to talk about refereeing at all, because I’m already tired of talking about it. There are many obvious things here – we exclude the topic of refereeing today. As for provocations by the opponent, no, I wouldn’t call them provocations. In no case can I accuse any of the Obolon players of any kind of provocation.”
“Another thing is that there is a certain culture of behavior both on the field and on the bench. This is how we see it happening, unfortunately. I think it’s time to introduce changes to the rules and regulations so that there is a different atmosphere on the bench, a different order of behavior, because when something happens on the field and the whole bench seems to be just on purpose, playfully jumping off their seats, running somewhere , put pressure on the judges – in my opinion, this is some kind of wildness.
“As for the field, this is the level of the player. When my football player falls and screams, I’m ready to tear him apart. I’ll tell you honestly. When an opponent does it – well, it’s none of my business. But for me, when a footballer falls and something like “Oh, ah!” is just the lowest level football player imaginable. I just said my opinion, not criticizing or blaming anyone at all. I repeat once again: I didn’t see any provocation from the opponent’s side.”
Chernomorets got the second victory at the start of the UPL. In the next round, the Sailors will host Dynamo on August 20.
