“Sooner or later CSKA might pay for relaxation” – ex-army footballer Popov

Former Moscow striker CSKA and now assistant coach of Vladikavkaz “Alanya” Denis Popov talked about the fourth round match MIR RPL between CSKA and Sochi, noting that the army team can “pay to relax”.

On Sunday, CSKA beat “Sochi” in a home game with the score 3:1.

– CSKA had an advantage in the match, but after the opponent was sent off and a goal was scored, they relaxed somewhere. In principle, Sochi has one shot on target – one goal. “Army Men” then ignited and crashed. It’s not the first time CSKA have found themselves in such a situation that they need to win. It was the same in Grozny. It’s all in your hands, you have to score the second goal and that’s it. And they sort of calm down, which leads to a valid ending.

How to avoid it?

“It’s a question of concentration for the whole team. We must not slack off and quickly bring the matter to its logical conclusion. Do not slow down, but on the contrary, add, score a second goal, better yet a third and end the game. It’s much easier than removing those endings later. Sooner or later you can pay for it. We know it’s football. Here, a shot on target can become a goal, – quotes the words of Popov “Euro‑Football.Ru”.
