Minaya’s coach admitted defeat to the Pitmen, but was dissatisfied with the referee’s actions
Head coach Minaya Vladimir Sharan commented on the defeat Miner (1:4) in the 6th round Ukrainian Premier League.
“We understood that we would play a lot without the ball and prepared very carefully for this fight. We wanted to play the right defense and we did it in the first half. After all, Shakhtar had only a few opportunities and Bandura played confidently. But I am unhappy with the actions of some players. If the coach makes substitutions in the first half, it means that they did not fulfill the game plan. We didn’t have any counterplay, going from defense to attack was just awful. And therefore they tried, they wanted speed on the flank, but there was none, because the players were not even placed correctly. There were no moments, blows, aggression,” said Sharan.
“The second half started well, we played more aggressively for 15 minutes, rebuilt, released the speedy Odaryuk and played this segment normally. But an unfortunate mistake in midfield led to a goal. A miner should not be given space. Then they already understood that it was very difficult to win back two goals against the Donetsk team. And then missed more. The miner outplayed us and the score is fair.”
“I don’t understand why the referee still sympathizes with such a strong team. It seems that in the episode with the fall of Tverdohlib there was a penalty, then, it seems to me, a game with a high foot in the center of the field in the case of the second goal, then Gunichev Matvienko pushed (everyone saw this) and again we got a goal. It is difficult to judge, but it seemed to me that there were violations of the rules on the part of Shakhtar players.
Minai remains in last place in the UPL with 2 points. Sharan’s team will play the next match on September 16 against Alexandria.
