Midfielder Atletico Yannick Ferreira Carrasco continue his career in Al Shababe. The Belgian was not included in the squad of the Madrid team for the upcoming match with Sevilla and will travel to Saudi Arabia on Sunday to sign a contract with a new club.
Atlético will receive about 15 million euros for the transfer of Carrasco. Al Shabaab’s contract with the midfielder will be for three years.
Carrasco returned to Atlético in 2020. Previously, he played for Matrasnikov in the period 2015-18, after which he moved to the Chinese Dalian Yifang.
Carrasco has made three appearances for Atlético Madrid this season and has provided one assist. In total, the Belgian has 47 goals and 45 assists in 266 matches for Madrid.
Atlético are in second place in La Liga. Al-Shabab is on the penultimate position in the Saudi Arabian championship.
