Former Real Madrid scout questions Endrick’s age: “Too trained”

Former Real Madrid scout stated this Tuesday, 12th, that he has doubts about the age of Endrick, from Palmeiras, signed by the Spanish club for 2024

Few things in football are as certain as the arrival of Endrick at the Real Madrid in the middle of 2024, as the 17-year-old has already been sold to the Spanish team. Despite this, the club’s former scout, Manolo Romeroquestioned the Brazilian’s age, justifying that he was always “too formed”.

I’ve always had doubts with Endrick, whether the age they say he is is correct. Because he is physically too formed. I always remember Radamel Falcao, who arrived in Europe older than he was“, stated the former Madrid professional in an interview with the radio station “Cadena SER” this Tuesday, 12th.

Currently, Palmeiras has on its official website that the center forward is 17 years old and measures 1.71m, but does not disclose his weight. Always precocious, Endrick made his professional debut at the end of last season, in 2022, and has already been successful with a good goal average. This year the average number of goals and minutes on the field fell, but the athlete continues to prove himself important in the squad.

On the other hand, Manolo Romero was a scout for Real Madrid until 2017, when he was fired, but he was responsible for looking for talent in Catalonia. Among the names he signed, there is the goalkeeper Kiko Casillawho spent good years in the squad, and the striker Marianowho left the team at the end of last season.

It is worth remembering that Endrick’s transaction to Real Madrid was confirmed in December 2022, and will make Madrid pay around 72 million euros for the arrival of the promise from the middle of 2024. Without having 100% of the economic rights, the Palmeiras’ expectation is to receive 60 million euros.
