Ex-Leicester playmaker has settled in well at Tottenham
Midfielder Tottenham’s James Maddison recognized as the best player of August in English Premier League.
The 26-year-old Englishman moved to the London club this summer from Leicester City, which had left the Premier League. In four starting rounds, he scored two goals and provided two assists. Spurs are second in the standings with 10 points.
This award is the first in the attacking midfielder’s career. The last time a Tottenham representative was recognized as the Premier League Player of the Month was in March 2022, when Harry Kane received the award.
Maddison was a starter in the recent match between Ukraine and England (1:1). Earned a yellow card, but did not perform any effective actions.
Tottenham will play their next match tomorrow, September 16. In the match of the fifth round of the English Championship, Spurs will host Sheffield United.
