This is the third victory in a row for Marco Rose’s team
RB Leipzig won a big victory at home against Augsburg in the 4th round of the German Bundesliga – 3:0.
The final score was established by the 27th minute. In the opening of the meeting, team newcomers Marco Rose scored goals. Javi Simons opened the scoring and Lois Openda doubled it. Moreover, the Dutchman and the Belgian assisted each other. The third goal was scored by defender David Raum.
Leipzig won their third major victory in a row after losing to Bayer Leverkusen (2:3) in the opening round. In addition, in the match for the German Super Cup, the Bulls beat the national champion, Bayern Munich, with the same score 3:0.
The victory allowed Leipzig to gain 9 points and move into 3rd place in the table. Ahead are Bayer and Bayern, who previously drew 2:2. Augsburg is in 12th place with two points.
This coming Tuesday, September 19, RB Leipzig starts in the Champions League with an away match against the Swiss Young Boys.
