De Zerbi’s men bounced back thanks to a penalty goal at the end of the match
Marseilles did not keep the winning score in the home match with Brighton in the second round of the group round Europa League 2023/24.
In the middle of the first half, Gennaro Gattuso’s team scored two goals. Within two minutes, Chancel Mbemba and Jordan Veretout scored.
After the break, Pascal Gross reduced Brighton’s lead. And at the end of the meeting, Roberto De Zerbi’s team got even – Joan Pedro was accurate from the 11-meter mark.
