Ukraine U-19 national team won a strong-willed victory over Morocco on the last day of the international tournament in Seoul – 4:3.
At the start of the match, Oleg Kuznetsov’s team lost with a score of 0:2. The blue-and-yellows managed to come back before the break thanks to goals from Nazar Balaba and Taras Mikhavko.
In the second half, Matvey Ponomarenko scored a brace. The Moroccans responded with one goal at the end of the meeting, but failed to come back.
The Ukrainian team finished the tournament with two victories. Earlier, Kuznetsov’s team lost to South Korea (2:4) and beat Vietnam (3:2).
The Ukrainian U-19 national team will play in the qualifying round for Euro 2024 from November 15 to 21. The rivals of Kuznetsov’s team will be Slovakia, Kosovo and Malta.
