About the best personalities and the main figures of the tour – Here.
Goalkeeper – Maxim Mekhanov (Nyva Ternopil)
This was not a goalkeeper’s round, if one of the goalkeepers had drawn a penalty, 15 shots on target – and his team would have won. However, even in low-spectacle matches, the work of the goalkeepers was of great importance. Let’s say, Metalist, whose attack group included students from Dynamo, Shakhtar and the Kharkov club itself – that is, well-trained, high-quality football players, shot four times on target at Niva. If the blows of, for example, Sinchuk or Lutsiv were weak, then the targeted long-range screamer from Morarenko Mekhaniv had to parry. He saved the Ternopil residents in a spectacular jump. In general, Maxim acted reliably both during targeted shots and when attacking his own goal. The sixth clean sheet in the championship for Mekhaniv is a figure in the top three in the current First League.
- Best in Group B: Ilya Karavaschenko (FSK Mariupol)
Etcavy defender – Pavel Polegenko (Carpathians)
Well, how did Polegenko reveal himself in the Lviv club! With such competitors as Romanyuk and Sukhar, and with several truly promising young talents in the club’s reserves, Pavel raised Karpaty’s flank play to a qualitatively new level. For example, a match in Bucha, where “Lviv” was hosted by its closest pursuer, Niva (Buzovaya). The hosts’ double left wing, Dvorovenko-Knysh/Timenko, could not do anything with Polegenko, and he himself regularly joined in the attacks. In one of the raids, Pavel gave an assist to Chachua. By the way, he could have scored himself – let’s remember his promising free kick.
- Best in Group B: Evgeniy Kostyuk (Flint)
Tsecentral defender – Vladislav Baboglo (Carpathians)
The business trip to the Moldova national team did not affect Baboglo’s dedication and motivation in relation to first-league affairs. Together with Mizyuk, Vladislav played very convincingly – with the exception of one breakthrough by ex-Carpathian Serhiychuk (without a worthy completion), there was no longer any threat from his zone at all. The Buzov team relied more on shots from outside the penalty area. The most expressive assessment of the centerback’s performance is zero shots on target for his team.
- Best in Group B: Sergiy Basov (Metallurgist)
Tsecentral defender – Artem Terekhov (FSK Mariupol)
First of all, we note Terekhov for playing in defense – he won most of the duels, made few mistakes, and was not to blame for the missed goal (an own goal by a teammate). In addition, Artem traditionally connected with other people’s goals with high quality – regularly and not only with shots, but also with playing along with his comrades. It was Terekhov who opened the scoring, finishing after Goshkoderya shook the frame of the goal from a corner.
- Best in Group A: Gabriel Gomez (Metalhead))
Lefirst defender – Vladimir Belotserkovets (Metallurgist)
This year, Metallurg retrained winger Belotserkovets as a full-back. Of course, realizing that this player is much more natural on the flank, we give credit that he can be a temporary solution to the personnel problem in the fullback position. As an example, the match against SK Poltava, where Vladimir ironed his flank, performed many passes and aggravations from there, and also recorded two assists (one from a free kick from the right edge, the other from a play from the left).
- Best in Group A: Vladimir Rudyuk (Prykarpattya)
Tsecentral midfielder – Ambrosius Chachua (Carpathians)
In each round, Chachua is among the sharpest Carpathian football players involved in combination play. This is no coincidence. Ambrose is always in the game, he can not only play along, but also play in the end. This time, in the match with Buzovskaya Niva, the three-move Kostenko-Polegenko-Chachua led to the winning goal, and Ambrose was also a direct participant in several other high-speed combinations. Playing above Ryabov and Cech, Chachua easily found himself in this midfield configuration.
- Best in Group B: Vitaly Goshkoderya (FSK Mariupol)
Etcav midfielder – Anton Baidal (Victoria)
Winger Baidal is one of the successful summer acquisitions of the team from the Sumy region. It was he who prepared the first effective combination, assisting Mishenko, and after the break he broke into a striking position from the left edge and put the ball into Dinaz’s goal with a high-quality shot. Anton has three effective actions in the last two rounds – he makes a significant contribution to Victoria’s success in the Ukrainian Championship and Cup.
- Best in Group A: Daniil Kravchuk (Epicenter)
Atattacking midfielder – Andrey Savitsky (Flint)
Derby of neighboring cities is always interesting, especially if they are a little more than 20 km away, and the two clubs have a rich history of confrontations and personnel sections. For Kremny to win the first victory under the leadership of the new head coach in the match with Gornyak-Sport and win on home field for the first time in the new season – this was a matter of principle. In this regard, Savitsky deserves all the distinction, who, playing an attacking midfielder, gave subtle and thoughtful assists to Galoyan and Trofimyuk. He could have scored himself.
- Best in Group A: Vasyl Tsyutsyura (Prykarpattya)
Lefirst midfielder – Ivan Kogut (Left Coast)
The Kogut brothers are the real trump card of the Kiev team in the central match of the tour with Ingulets. Ivan played especially strongly, with two assists to his credit. In the opening of the match, I. Kogut gave an excellent pass to Sukhoruchka, who opened the scoring through a completely free corridor. And soon after the break, Ivan rolled out a simple pass from his flank under an accurate shot from Sinitsa. This is not all that the brothers did that was useful – they played the game over a large area of the field and constantly aggravated it through passes and passes.
- Best in Group A: Denis Galenkov (Agribusiness)
Onfalling – Andrey Khoma (Prykarpattya)
In the last three matches, Khoma scored five goals. The young forward of Prykarpattya topped the table of the most accurate scorers of the current championship. However, this alone cannot describe how much he did for his team in the match with the Bukovynians. Already at the beginning of the match, Andrei opened the scoring with a strong free kick, depriving the Chernivtsi team of their original game plan. Then Khoma ran away from the opponents’ guard several times, including at the moment when the guests were taking a penalty kick, and Tsyutsyura launched the ball in the direction of Andrey. He pushed his opponents and scored another goal – actually the winning one.
- Best in Group B: Daniil Sukhoruchko (Left Bank)
Onfalling – Dmitry Shostak (Agribusiness)
When Chizhevsky, in a short period of time, assembled a completely new roster for Agribusiness, the problem of the striker was the most acute. In fact, from the beginning of the championship until the last rounds, the forward position was filled by midfielder Kuzmin (to his credit, he did this conscientiously and quite successfully). However, the arrival of the young Carpathian student Shostak significantly strengthened the attacking potential of the Volochyshchi team. In the match with FC Khust, he scored himself and assisted Galenkov’s goal.
- Best in Group B: Alexander Batalsky (FSK Mariupol)
The leader had a 12-point advantage over his closest pursuer and a 14-point lead over the Left Bank. In addition, Ingulets remained the last undefeated participant in Group B of the First League and was on a 25-match unbeaten streak in this division. However, the Kiev team managed to inflict a striking blow on their opponents in the opening of the match, played well on the scoresheet and made extremely effective substitutions. Pervak’s football in its classic form showed the gaming advantages of the left-bank players even against the backdrop of a really good club with a level approaching the average UPL standards.
- Analysis from the All-Ukrainian Association of Football Coaches – here.
There were quality replacements in the reporting round. Khotsyanovskiy, with his goal at the end, brought back intrigue to the Sumy match and hope for Dinaz. Entire scoring combinations were played out by the “jokers” of the Left Bank (Voitsekhovsky-Yankovsky-Litovchenko) and Mariupol (Lityuk-Oleynik). But the most important contribution was made by another player from the bench – Vasilenko from Khmelnytskyi. In a situation where his team was losing the regional derby by two goals, Stanislav managed to score himself and earn a saving penalty. The second round in a row – an effective substitution from Kostyshin!
- Sport Arena statistics: 13 league matches, 3 goals.
19-year-old Shostak went through the fundamental school of the Carpathians and showed promise in Rukha and Alexandria. Dmitry scored 45 goals in 129 matches before moving to Agribusiness. And in the match with FC Khust, he showed that he was able to solve the fundamental problem of his new team with the striker. Shostak’s goal and assist prove Chizhevsky’s smart choice in this position.
- Sport Arena statistics: 5 league matches, 1 goal, 1 assist.
A juicy long-range strike from the Zaporozhian Krapivny from the field and a free-kick from the Carpathian Khoma, several subtly played combinations with a heel pass and brilliant cutting passes – that’s what we looked at. Good multi-movers are a regular delicacy on the First League menu. Metallurg’s long shot was multiplied by a goalkeeper’s mistake. But Prykarpattya’s penalty kick with an unusual trajectory is what we quote. We quote the report: “Already in the debut, Glagol took Solovyov on his hip, the referee awarded a free kick on the left flank, and from there, 25 meters away, Andrei shot right at the goal. Khoma sent the ball at a tricky medium height, so it was a surprise for goalkeeper Ponomarenko.” Once again this season, the best goals of the tour come from the difficult fate of the Khustians.
