The Memphis Grizzlies have confirmed that they will have an important absence for the entire NBA season, which will begin next Tuesday, 24th.

O Memphis Grizzlies announced last Sunday, 22, that the pivot, Steve Adams, will undergo surgery, and is expected to miss the entire NBA season, including the playoffs, if the team makes it. According to local newspapers, the problem is linked to the knee that took him off the court last January.

After the loss of the second part of the regular season, in addition to the playoffs, Adams He even returned to play in the current pre-season, playing a few minutes in two matches. There were nine points, ten rebounds and two blocks in the 27 minutes he was on the court in the aforementioned opportunities.

Given this, it was expected that he would be available to the coach at the beginning, despite it being imagined that he would miss some games due to his return from injury. The player’s absence must be greatly felt by the team, especially defensively, where the pivot helped the team most while he was on the court.
