The former Dutch national team striker scored a goal, after which he lost consciousness on the field itself.
An unpleasant incident occurred in the 10th round of the Dutch Eredivisie in a match between Nijmegen and AZ Alkmaar. During the match, one of the players fainted on the field itself.
Former Netherlands striker Bast Dost, who now plays for Nijmegen, lost consciousness during the game, falling right in the middle of the field.
The player was immediately given medical attention and taken to the hospital. Dost managed to come to his senses and thanked everyone for their support. He will undergo an in-depth medical examination in the near future.
Note that after such a frightening incident, the teams did not continue the game. The match ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of Nijmegen, Dost scoring one of his team’s goals.
