Athletistic/ Football. Serie A newcomers Monza are set to sign midfielder Matteo Pessina from Atalanta.
According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the parties have agreed on a loan with an option to buy the player for 15 million euros.
Pessina graduated from Monza. He played for the club’s youth team from 2007 to 2014. In the 2013/2014 season, Pessina played three matches for the adult Monza in the Coppa Italia, and from the 2014/2015 season , he was eventually transferred to the first team. In total, Pessina has 26 games and 6 goals for Monza.
Matteo has been an Atalanta player since 2017 (he spent the 2017/2018 season on loan at Spezia, the 2019/2020 season at Verona). Pessina played 96 games for the Bergamascos, scoring 6 goals and providing 4 assists.
