Former Rubin Kazan defender Cesar Navas has expressed confidence that Real Sociedad’s Russian midfielder Arsen Zakharyan has all the qualities to succeed in the Spanish championship.
Zakharyan left Dynamo for Real Sociedad on August 19, signing a contract with the Spanish club until the end of the 2028/29 season. Currently, the Russian has played nine matches for the San Sebastian team.
“Zakharyan has all the technical, physical and psychological qualities to shine and succeed in La Liga or any European championship. He is still a very young footballer, but significant changes have already taken place in his life. He needs time to adapt and acclimate to a new country, a new city, a new team, teammates, a coach, a new program. Arsène’s style of play suits Real Sociedad and their coach Imanol Alguacil well, but it is clear that he needs time. The team’s attacking midfielders are very talented and high-level players, and finding a place for Arsène in the team is not easy.
I know that in San Sebastian there is a very good atmosphere within the team and excellent relationships between the players. This will allow Zakharyan to quickly adapt to the team and the city. I am confident that in a few months he will feel more comfortable, more confident and playing to his full potential. I really like Arsen as a player and a person. I am convinced that his time will come and that he will succeed in Spain,” Navas was quoted as saying by “Championship”.
