Ukrainian judokas Daria Beloded And Bogdan Yadov will miss the series tournament Grand Slam in Japanese Tokyo.
The head coach of the Ukrainian judo team, Vitaly Dubrova, said this. According to him, Daria did not have time to recover from the injury received before the European Championship, and Bogdan was injured directly during the continental championship.
Let us remind you that at the recent European Championship 2023, which took place in France from November 3 to 5, Bogdan Yadov won a bronze medal in the category up to 66 kilograms. The Ukrainian defeated the Azerbaijani Yashar Najafov in the medal bout. Also at that tournament, our compatriot Dilshot Khalmatov won silver.
Beloded missed that European Championship due to a back injury. As it turned out, the injury will not allow her to take part in the next big international competition.
The tournament in Tokyo, the last in the Grand Slam series in 2023, will be held on December 2-3.
