The Ukrainian will not play in his team’s upcoming matches
Ukrainian midfielder of Romanian CFR Cluj Evgeniy Konoplyanka continues to recover from injury.
“We have certain problems with the composition, but they are small. I don’t think that Ajeti and Konoplyanka will play in the next match, but it’s good that Kamora and Birlidzha have recovered,” said coach Andrea Mandorlini after the match with UTA in the 17th round of the Romanian championship (0:0).
Konoplyanka became a CFR Cluj player on July 25. It was assumed that in the new club he would receive 15 thousand euros per month. According to Romanian press reports, Evgeniy’s salary is 20 thousand.
The Ukrainian made his debut for the new club on August 3, against Adanademirspor in the Conference League qualification, playing 16 minutes. In total, Evgeniy played in four matches this season.
Konoplyanka played for Dnipro, Sevilla, Schalke, Shakhtar and Cracovia throughout his career. His track record includes 87 matches, 21 goals and 15 assists for the Ukrainian national team. Evgeniy spent the last of these fights in March of this year, when he was released by Ruslan Rotan at the end of the meeting with England (0:2).
In the Romanian Championship, Cluj scored 32 points and is in second place after 17 rounds, five points behind Steaua.
