Athletistic / Football. Borussia Dortmund have announced the transfer of Chelsea defender Jan Matsen. The 21-year-old Dutchman is on loan to the Bumblebees until the end of this season.
Earlier, British media reported that the London club intends to extend the contract with Matsen and then loan him to Borussia. Note that Ian has been in the Chelsea system since 2018, and this season he participated in 15 matches for the English club in all tournaments. The Transfermarkt portal estimates his market value at 20 million euros.
During the January transfer window, Borussia had already loaned another Premier League player. Striker Jadon Sancho has left Manchester United for Dortmund on loan.
Borussia has scored 27 points in 16 matches and is in fifth place in the German Bundesliga table.
