The Brewers were the first to open the scoring – Rostislav Taranukha did it. But very quickly Matej Shin tied the score. The first half did not reveal a winner.
In the second half of the meeting, Banik managed to achieve a strong-willed victory. Shin scored a double, and in the last minutes the third goal was scored by Nigerian Abdullai Tanko.
Banik is a champion (2004) and three-time medalist of the Czech championships. Last season, the club from Ostrava took 11th place in the Fortuna League.
Today, Valeriy Ivashchenko’s charges are scheduled to have a sparring match with another representative of the Czech top division – Hradec Králové. The next opponents of the Kiev team at the training camp will be Widzew (Poland), Ahal (Turkmenistan), Shkupi (North Macedonia) and Køge (Denmark)
Obolon ranks 13th in the UPL (zone of transition matches), gaining 14 points. In the first match of the spring part of the championship, the Kiev team will host Chernomorets. The base date is February 24.
