Ex-Dynamo coach came to support the Ukrainian hockey team at the 2026 Olympics pre-qualification tournament
Former coach of Dynamo, and now head coach of Sosnowiec Alexander Khatskevich supported Ukrainian hockey team.
“The main victory is for Ukraine to exist. The best thing is when you’re at home, but the reality is that we can’t be at home now,” the coach said.
The football coach, together with his assistants, came to congratulate the Ukrainian hockey players in the locker room after the victory over Poland in the pre-qualification match for the 2026 Olympics. Khatskevich received a personalized jersey of the Ukrainian national team with number 2.
Let us remind you that the blue-yellows snatched a victory over Poland in a shootout (3:2). Dmitry Khristich’s team scored 5 points and led Group J.
In the third round, the Ukrainian team will meet with Estonia on February 11. The match starts at 17:30.
Of the qualifying quartet, only one team will advance to the final round of Olympic qualification. The final round is another group stage. Only the best teams in each quartet will qualify directly for the Olympic tournament in Milan, which will take place in February 2026.
