The citizens made a comeback in the second half
In the central match of the 27th round English Championship Manchester City beat at his stadium Manchester United with a score of 3:1.
The Red Devils opened the scoring early in the game – Marcus Rashford scored with a cool long-range strike. Before the break, Pep Guardiola’s team could have equalized the score, but Erling Haaland missed the empty net from a killer position.
In the second half, the Citizens still fought back through the efforts of Phil Foden, who scored his goal from outside the penalty area. At the end of the meeting, the English midfielder scored a double, and Haaland set the final score in stoppage time.
After this match, Manchester City scored 62 points and is in second place in the Premier League standings. Manchester United is in sixth position.
