Dnepr-1 coach Revut: We didn’t deserve victory today

Dnipro played a draw with LNZ

Trainer SK Dnepr-1 Sergey Revut commented on the away match with LNZ (1:1) in the 21st round UPL.

“It was a tough game. We didn’t deserve to win today. Yuri Vilyevich had a conversation with the guys after the match and this conversation was difficult.”

“The game turned out for us in a way we didn’t plan. Unfortunately, now we cannot strengthen the game with substitutions, because we have many injured players, and the young people who come on as substitutes are not yet ready to play fully at this level. Maybe they’ll play a little later.”

“Yuri Maksimov was nearby, he gave hints, and the team heard these tips. The main thing is that we have a very short bench and we cannot play with the optimal lineup. This is the fourth game after the resumption of the championship and it’s been very difficult for us.”

“LNZ is a good team. Now all the clubs are well prepared physically, and no one will have easy victories.”

Dnipro took the lead at the start of the second half, Alexander Filippov scored. LNZ came back a few minutes later through the efforts of Haidin Salihu.

Dnepr-1 scored 39 points and is in third place in the UPL standings. In the next match, Yuri Maximov’s team will play against Kolos on March 31.
