The Lviv team opened the scoring in the very first attack; Yan Kostenko shot accurately from outside the penalty area. Shakhtar’s Lassina Traore scored a brace in the first half.
In the second half, Karpaty managed to equalize the score, Arielson converted the penalty. Both teams continued to attack, but failed to snatch victory.
Shakhtar leads the UPL. Marino Pusic’s team will play the next official match on March 30 against Obolon. Karpaty will host Poltava in the First League on March 23.
