Nottingham Forest has filed an appeal against the English Premier League (EPL) committee’s decision to deduct four points for violating financial rules, according to the club’s official website.
Forest were stripped of four points in March for breaching rules relating to profitability and self-sufficiency. The matter was referred to an independent commission in January after the club reported losses in excess of the amount allowed for the three-year reporting period ending with the 2022/23 season.
— Nottingham Forest confirms it has appealed the four-point deduction imposed by the panel due to the club’s breach of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability (PSR) rules. The club will make no further statement, the statement said.
Nottingham Forest are 18th in the table with 21 points. The team is one point away from 17th place, which allows them to avoid relegation to the Championship.
