Ukrainian won the title of interim WBC junior middleweight champion
Ukrainian Sergei Bogachuk (24-1, 23 KOs) defeated the American boxer Brian Mendoza (22-4-0, 16 KOs) and won the interim WBC junior middleweight title.
Bogachuk had the advantage throughout the fight. After the next round, Brian’s nose was bleeding, but he continued the fight.
The American tried to actively respond to the Ukrainian’s actions and also delivered his own series of blows. However, Sergey worked more successfully in almost every round. According to the results of the fight, all judges gave victory to the Ukrainian – 118-110, 117-111 and 117-111.
In his previous fight, Bogachuk knocked out Ghanaian Patrick Allotey in the first round. For the Ukrainian, this was the second defense of the WBC Continental Americas title.
