The Israeli, over whom Shakhtar may sue Spurs, recently underwent surgery on the meniscus
Head coach Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou named three players who most likely will not be able to play for the London team until the end of the season.
It’s about the goalkeeper Fraser Forsterflanker Ryan Sessegnon and winger Manor Solomon.
Forster, 36, is the team’s reserve goalkeeper, who played one match during the season (in the English League Cup) and suffered a broken foot in February and was out for at least two months.
23-year-old Sessegnon made only one substitute appearance during the current campaign (in the FA Cup), after which he suffered another injury (hamstring) and underwent surgery.
24-year-old Solomon managed to make two assists in six fights in August-September, after which he went to the hospital. On March 19, the Israeli underwent meniscus surgery.
Let us remember that last summer Solomon moved to Tottenham as a free agent, signing an agreement until 2028. FIFA has issued permission for the early termination of the winger’s contract with Shakhtar due to the war in Ukraine.
Subsequently, Shakhtar repeatedly tried to negotiate with the London club regarding compensation for the football player, but in vain. In March, Gornyakov CEO Sergei Palkin threatened Tottenham with legal action.
Potekoglu’s team is in fifth place in the Premier League, two points behind Aston Villa and having played one match less. On Sunday, April 7, Tottenham will host Nottingham Forest.
