Chernomorets beat Alexandria in the home match of the 23rd round Ukrainian Premier League – 3:2.
The Sailors played a bright first half. Already in the 10th minute, Bogdan Boychuk opened the scoring. Then Alexandria remained in the minority – Miguel Ferreira received a red card, after which Ilya Putrya immediately converted a penalty.
Chernomorets brought the score to a rout at the end of the first half, but Ruslan Rotan’s men returned to the game. Artem Shulyansky pulled one goal back before the break, and Alexander Belyaev reduced the gap to a minimum in the second half. However, Alexandria failed to save the match with ten men.
Chernomorets scored 29 points and is in eighth place in the UPL. Alexandria is in 11th place with 24 points.
In the next match Chernomorets will play against Zorya on April 14. Alexandria will host Dynamo on April 13.
