The blue-yellows will be based in Wiesbaden
Team Ukraine will receive enhanced protection during Euro 2024 by the German security authorities.
German Minister of the Interior Nancy Feather said that the security forces will work intensively, and the implementation of the European uniform will become a priority for the work of her department.
“We will protect all teams, fans and guests – and especially, of course, the Ukrainian team: we are doing everything possible to keep them safe in Germany, even higher security measures will be in place here. It is one of the biggest football events in the world and takes place in a particularly tense political situation. It involves a lot of challenges.”
The permanent location of Sergei Rebrov’s team will be the city of Wiesbaden, the capital of the federal state of Hesse in western Germany, located next to Mainz and Darmstadt, not far from Frankfurt.
Sergei Rebrov’s team will play in Quartet E with Belgium, Slovakia and Romania at the 2024 European Championship. Ukraine will play its first match against Romania on June 17. Ticket sales for the blue-yellow matches at Euro 2024 are also open.
Ukraine will play at the European Championships for the fourth time. The blue-and-yellows have consistently competed in the finals of the continental championship since 2012.
