PSG will play the first leg of the Champions League semi-final in Dortmund tomorrow, May 1
Head coach Paris Saint-Germain Louis Enrique shared his expectations from the confrontation with Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals Champions League.
“Tomorrow is the time to be competitive. Our goal is victory, my team is brave.”
“I have had the support of my players and the club since I arrived. The time for decisive confrontations in Europe is coming, and we need to cope well with the pressure and our ambitions. We have arrived at the perfect moment of the season!”
Let us remind you that PSG defeated Real Sociedad (2:0, 2:1) and Barcelona (2:3, 4:1) during the Champions League playoffs. Borussia, in turn, successively beat PSV (1:1, 2:0) and Atlético Madrid (1:2, 4:2).
It is curious that this season the teams have already played each other in the group stage. In the head-to-head matches, the Parisians turned out to be stronger (2:0 at home, 1:1 in Dortmund), but Dortmund won the “group of death” (Milan and Newcastle were also in it), gaining 11 points against eight points for the French giants.
The first match of the 2023/24 Champions League semi-finals will take place in Dortmund on Wednesday, May 1. The meeting starts at 22:00. The match will be officiated by the English team led by Anthony Taylor. The return match in Paris will take place on May 7.
