Athletistic / Football. Fakel’s former head coach Sergei Tashuev has told how Xavi once stopped him from managing Qatar’s Al-Sadd.
The coach said intermediaries had already offered him tickets to lead the team. But there was a caveat. Al-Sadd was then led by Hawi. Barcelona really wanted to bring him back, so the Qatar club was working on the issue of a replacement. But Xavi and Barcelona did not work out at that time and the Spaniard remained in the team.
“The intermediaries called me and told me to take tickets to manage Al-Sadd, which was then managed by Xavi. But on the condition that Xavi managed Barcelona, he did not manage then, the matter was closed,” Tashuev said.
