The official said he spoke with the footballer’s father and he confirmed that Mbappe wants to take part in the Olympic Games.
“Last week I was on the pitch with his father in a charity match and I asked him that question. He told me, ‘He wants to play there.’
I really hope that all European clubs will give this freedom to their players. I’m glad all the French clubs are doing this and I hope others will follow suit. The Olympic spirit is to grow,” Macron was quoted as saying by Marca.
