The defender will move to the Brazilian club at the end of his contract with Chelsea
Defender Chelsea Thiago Silva officially signed a contract with Fluminense. The parties agreed on a deal until the summer of 2026.
The Brazilian will join the new team in June as a free agent when his current contract with Chelsea expires. The 39-year-old defender will wear number 3.
Silva is a graduate of Fluminense. The last time Thiago played for the Rio de Janeiro club was in 2008, from where he moved to Milan.
This season, the Brazilian has made 35 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions. Silva scored four goals and provided one assist.
Chelsea are in seventh place with 54 points. Fluminense is in 16th place in the Brazilian Serie A.
