Former Brazilian national team player Romario said he would score two thousand goals in modern football.
– Today I would have done more, because the players are stupid now – they run too much. In my time football also paid attention to physics, football has always been like that, but the players were much more technical and smarter. I am sure that today I would score 2,000 goals,” Romario said as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
Romario has played for PSV, Barcelona, Valencia and other teams. As a member of the Brazilian national team in 1994, he won the World Cup. Throughout his career, Romario scored 827 goals.
