Spartak coach Vladimir Slishkovich expressed confidence that the team’s new head coach Dejan Stanković received all the necessary information about the club.
“Spartacus” announced Stankovic’s appointment in mid-May, the Serbian will lead the team during the offseason. Previously, Stankovic coached Hungarian Ferencvaros, Red Star Belgrade and Italian Sampdoria.
— Have you managed to speak with Stankovic yet?
– Yes, but not about anything specific, we just talked and got to know each other a little.
“Does he have any idea where he’s going?”
– I think he knows everything. He knows the same thing as me. My acquaintance with Spartak did not occur two years ago: when I was a child, I already knew what Spartak was. I have an idea of the importance of the teams for my country. I think the man knows everything, the club also told him something he may not have known.

In the 2023/24 season, Spartak took fifth place in the WORLD RPL. In April of this year, Spanish specialist Guillermo Abascal, after several unsuccessful results, left the post of head coach of Spartak and until the end of the season the team was led by Sliskovich on a temporary basis.
