According to the head of the UAF, the national team can participate in Euro 2024 only thanks to the people who fight for our freedom
The president Ukrainian Football Association Andrey Shevchenko following the players Ukrainian national teamwho in a video from the UAF spoke about their cities affected by Russian aggression, also addressed the European and world community.
“We often hear that football is beyond war, but this video proves the opposite. There is not a single Ukrainian football player, not a single Ukrainian city, stadium, playground, not a single child that has not been touched by the war.”
“We can only be here at Euro 2024 thanks to the people who fight for our freedom. Among them are hundreds of thousands of football fans. They would like to be in the stands, but they are at the front. Our cities would also like to host the Euro, but now they are fighting not for the tournament, but for freedom.”
