Girona officially announced the signing of a defender Sparta And Czech national team Ladislav Krejci.
The 25-year-old footballer signed a contract with the club until June 30, 2029. According to some reports, the transfer amount could be up to 12 million euros.
Ladislav’s main position is left central defender. He can also play in the supporting zone – in particular, he is often used there by Czech national team coach Ivan Hasek.
Krejci played the previous five seasons with Sparta Prague, where he moved from Zbrojovka (Brno). Last season he played 39 matches in all competitions, scored 11 goals and provided seven assists.
Krejci will take part in Euro 2024 as part of the Czech national team, for which he has currently played 10 matches and scored three goals. In the group stage, Hasek’s team will compete with Portugal, Georgia and Turkey.
At the end of last season, Girona, largely thanks to the efforts of Ukrainians Artem Dovbik and Viktor Tsygankov, sensationally finished in the top 3 and qualified for the Champions League for the first time in history.
