Both teams are making their debut in Group B of the competition.
This Friday began Euro 2024 with a real football exhibition: Germany, host country of the tournament, beat Scotland 5-1, a team which had not participated in this instance since 1996. This Saturday begins Group B of the competition, the one that will have the confrontation between Italy and Albania (in an area where Spain and Croatia are also located).
Note that this will be the second presence of the Albanian team at the Euro. Their previous performance dates back to the 2016 version, held in France, where they failed to advance past the group stage.
In its preparation, the team coached by Brazilian Sylvinho faced Chile in March, in Ricardo Gareca’s first match at the helm of La Roja. It’s a 3-0 victory for Alexis, Bravo and company. After this match, they lost to Sweden and beat Liechtenstein and Azerbaijan.
For their part, the Italians drew goalless against Turkey in June and beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-0.
When and where to watch the match?
Italy and Albania will face each other this Saturday June 15 at 3:00 p.m. in Chile. The commitment will be broadcast on the ESPN channel and via the platform streaming Star+
