Former Shakhtar and Ukraine national team player returns to coaching bench
Ingulets announced the appointment Vasily Kobin to the post of head coach of the team. Details of the contract with the 39-year-old specialist have not been disclosed.
At the end of May, Kobin left the position of sports director of Metalist, which he had held since the summer of 2022. Previously, the coach was headed by Minaj.
Kobin, when he was a player, played for Shakhtar, Karpaty, Transcarpathia, Metalist, Veres, Minaj, as well as Belarusian Shakhtar, Kazakh Tobol and the Ukrainian national team. Retired from his career in 2019.
Let us recall that at the beginning of June Inhulets announced the appointment of Zeljko Ljubenovic from Minaj to the position of coach. However, the coach himself denied this information.
Ingulets became the winner of the First League 2023/24. The team has been promoted to the elite division under the leadership of Vladislav Lupashko, who can lead the Karpaty U-19.
